spread a thin layer on the heads and a small bead on the headers,...let sit for 10-15 mins so it's tacky but not hard...

install and let sit an hour or so...

it's going to be messy regardless...

I let my car warm up for a little and then shut it down and let it sit over night..

100 miles and 4 big boost passes seems to be fine so far

you should need less than half to do both sides

Damn, I must work slow, I just apply the RTV onto the headers and install them but by the time I finish putting the everything else on, like the crossover pipe, turbo, cold side, down pipe, and spark plug wires, 2-3 hours has already passed. Those headers bolts take forever on a BG kit.

yeah i have the pony down hot side and it's a bitch to get the header bolts all on without cross threading them and takes about 2-3 hours to put everything on

I was just talking about an hour for just the headers...lol

and I've gotten good at it so far...but if I had to put install time with the wastegate and all of that, yeah 2-3 hours seems quick then... [Big Grin]
