Looking into purchasing a Maximum Motorsports K member brace for my foxbody.what are the benifits and downfalls of this upgrade?

My fit fine with the stock engine/trans combo. When I went to an aftermarket oil pan it wouldn't fit any more. Also won't clear with some long tube headers.

Same with mine on my old 93 cobra and didn't notice any difference when I removed it

How much weight will it ad and is it worth upgrading?

about 2lbs. The stock k-member is fairly flexy when the car is under cornering loads, having a brace on the rear of it helps make the car drive a lot more consistent.

if you don't have sticky tires and don't auto-x or open track the car, it's not worth the cost.

Thanks for the advice blind,im gonna hold off for now and buy some much more needed upgrades
