What's the max the slip yoke can stick out of the tailshaft? 1.5-2 inches? I'm hoping I can still use the aluminum driveshaft. Luckily I kept the old 4spd shaft when I did the t5 swap so I won't have to buy a new one. The toploader is a tad bit shorter than the t5. I think I'm pushing closer to the 2 inch mark with the aluminum shaft right now. It's the part if the swap that doesn't have the "no clearance/no room for it" issue! lol I'll have to remeasure but I think there is 3-4 inches of the yoke in the tailshaft.

Damn man so youre hoping to not customize the shaft right? Ive looked around and a lot of forums are saying that custom driveshafts are better and blah, blah, blah. Im sure there is a way man other than that.

Well I got different shafts from different setups I have had over the years. I only have one aluminum shaft though and would like to keep the weight savings if I can.

if you have an 8.8rear they make spacers for the shaft. if not i think you want 70-80% of the yoke in the tranny
