so where to begin. i have a 1970 mustang with an EFI conversion and what would happen is after warming up the engine would not start for 10-15 minutes. after that it was fine. until shut off again. it cranked perfect and had spark. if it was push started it would start up. so i figured that the injectors were not priming the engine. i sprayed brake cleaner into the intake and it would start up. i swapped computers and still had the same issue. the fuel pressure was about 40psi also. if it was cold it started fine. so i watched the fuel pressure gauge and seen that it did not hold pressure in the line like it used to. it would hit 40 then drop to zero. i am running the aeromotive tsunami pump and apparently it does not have a check valve. so fyi if anyone swaps pumps look out for this.

the reason it started cold was because the fuel that was primed in the cylinders would not evaporate from the heat and allow the engine to start. when it was warm since there was no fuel pressure in the line when primed the little fuel that was shot into the cylinder evaporated and did not start. what a F'N headache and i am glad i solved this. i hope this helps to anyone down the road. i am starting it now by cranking while the fuel pump is priming. i used to wait until the pump shut off until i cranked. i guess aeromotive sells a check valve i can place in the line, but its $61. is there any other issues that can arise from not having a check valve?
