Wrong section but have you checked the firing order. An orginal 302 has a different order then a 5.0 H0. Anyway post in tech section youll get more info.

the car is only running on cyl 1,2,6,8..500 Dergrees in these cyl checked with heat gun
there is spark at every plug but no fuel in cyl 3,4,5,7 ???? 100 degrees or less in these cyl checked with heat gun
compression is good so is the fuel pressure isw good too
the mechanic checked both firing orders he said that the car is still runnig on 4 cyl

have you checked leak down and compression? also my guess might be since the later model 5.0 was a sequential injection (meaning it fires the injectors right before the intake stroke) since the non ho motor has a diff firing order im guessing the camshafts are different which would possibly mean that the injector is firing at the wrong time and the cyl isnt getting fuel when it should. you might be able to make a couple jumpers to test this theory and switch the injectors to the non ho firing order.
Edit- just saw your reply i think the injectors arent in time with the firing order build some test leads to confirm [ August 08, 2011, 03:38 PM: Message edited by: 89foxstang ]

ok here is the break down on the eng.. the eng came out my 67 mustang not stock engine it has been bored and hone .30 over with a comp cam roller lifter and rockers supplied by comp as well. heads are 302 stock cast iron heads with a 5 angle valve job ported ferrea gt40 valves. i had the motor built for the 67 with carb but the car sat for 3 years with a brand new motor and i thought i might as well stick it in my 50.. so i changed out tob end and started it but it just didnt run right i thought it was the wieght of the fly wheel sine the motor was balanced with a 28oz so i removed the 50oz to a 28oz didnt change

I would get a cpu, and engine harness from a non HO EFI car like a crown victoria or something that should work.

I'd say easiest way I can think of is either redo the wiring to match the non ho motor , or swap the cam out to an ho cam, since the camshaft is going to be the determining factor in the firing order

I wouldn't think they would change the crank throws, but to tell you the truth I don't know for sure!

Other than the imbalance, the cranks are the same.
You need to figure out what cam you have. Once you know that, it'll make troubleshooting easier. [ August 09, 2011, 12:54 AM: Message edited by: wilit ]
