Are all transmissions the same between the years 96-04?? have plans on getting a new block off a newer gt and wanted to know if you can put it on a 96 transmission [Confused] [Confused]

Yes, same mounting pattern. You may run into 6 vs 8 bolt flywheel configuration though.
