i wanted to buy this car to do a conversion on my car but i looked at the trans and it dosent look like a t5
can somebody tell me wat kind is it and its a 4 speed

It's an SROD. It's a 3 speed + overdrive. Here's a website about them.

the owner of the car told me it was a top lader but i dont kno shit bout tranys so yea
did this trans come stock on a mustang or what?????
do u guys think i should do my conversion wit this trans or am better off getting a t5

Transmission is a SROD (single rail over drive)
Came in 79-early 83 Mustangs

The SROD came in Mustangs from like '79-'83. They also came in trucks and had different gear ratios. It is essentially a toploader with a different set of ratios.

i only seen one before and forgot how it looked whole, i remember when i got it , i never had a 5 speed to tell the difference , and i was like i got one!!!! to my disappointment later lol
