My dads 99 ford escort is doing a crank no start. It dosnt have a schrader valve to check fuel pressure but i can hear the pump coming on. i took a look behind the timing belt cover and i can see the the belt is pretty beat up and shreded a bit , but its not broken will that still cause the car not to start? any ideas?
