i have a 1989 mustang 5.0 and the speedometer doesnt work how can i fix that?? also my fuel stock gauge doesnt work either how can i fix this?? thanks cafords

The speedometer is mechanical and cable driven. Make sure the cable is is connected to the transmission and the speedometer, and that the drive and driven gears (drive gear is inside the transmission, driven gear is on the transmission end of the cable) are in good working order. If that all checks out, have the speedometer itself tested.Also check e cable behinde the dash.
