the fuel cell that I'm using is a universal summit racing fuel cell. pt# SUM-293220-S
the fuel cell uses -8 AN fittings (1/2") and my body mounted hard lines (fuel lines) are 3/8". do they make fittings to step down from the -8 AN (1/2") to my hard line 3/8"?
I searched summit, and searched googled for similar topics but found no answer.

No, they don't..an if they do I've never heard of it..if your going with a fuel cell I wouldn't recommend using stock lines anyway.

+1 change the lines, they do make 3/8 to -6an..

yes it will have a return. im using a fuel cell because it will be easier then trying to add a sump to a stock tank. what im doing is putting a Fox EFI setup into a 60's mustang, everything has to be replumbed because of the old carb lines are shot to shit and on the wrong side for the setup.
currently it has my efi 331 and at the most this car will see a 408w down the road, even with that 408w setup, i don't think it will ever need a complete -8 AN system (1/2")
as of rite now all i got is a fuel cell and have not actually plumbed any lines, the 3/8" was just a plan at this point (I bought but have not installed),but what do you guys think I should do. go with a -8 AN?

Yea going with bigger lines would be ideal, especially if u plan on going with a 408 later..its always better to have more fuel available then not enough. I would suggest -8 feed, -6 return. If they do make a 3/8 to -6 fitting to your stock line like 5.0 lax said, you can go that route. I personally don't like that cause your gonna have a a lot more fuel feeding and being returned on a much smaller line

keep in mind, if the 60's mustang came 2b carb, you have 5/16 feed (even smaller) i would def replum

its actually originally a 3/8" feed but its on the wrong side to begin with. you guys don't think -8 AN aka 1/2" is over kill?

Nope. Gives you room to grow. Especially if you're eventually going with a 408.

Just change the lines you'll regret not changing em later. Just use push loc or the new nylon pro flo shit. It's easier to work with
