Author Topic: GT40 Spark plug questions, long or short? SnakeBit ¯ Member # 8871 posted                              Hey I know this question has been asked a million times. And if you google it you'll find almost as many opinions/answers. This is for a 95 Cobra. So the the stock MotorCraft Plug is AWSF-32C (Short thread). Then I read that they changed their part #'s and SP-447 replaces both AWSF-32C (Short thread) & also AGSF-32C (long thread) http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/Motorcraft-Copper-Spark-Plug/1995-Ford-Mustang-Cobra/_/N-j50h5Z8gctd?counter=21&filterByKeyWord=spark+plug&fromString=search&itemIdentifier=5 34650_0_0_ I know that a lot of people also use Autolite 764's (short thread) http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/Autolite-Platinum-Spark-Plug/1995-Ford-Mustang-Cobra/_/N-j50h5Z8gctd?counter=7&filterByKeyWord=spark+plug&fromString=search&itemIdentifier=11 7698_8915_0_ *Is there any difference in performance with the plug being closer to the piston, Short vs long thread? *I have always set the gap @ .052, I have a MSD 6A and Coil, Should I open the gap a bit? Same length.
