I did one a long time ago and you start from the rib above the window and use the same kind of staples and start from there. Then spray adhesive spray over the big front frame bar that's flat. Pull the fabric over and stick it on and put the rubber weather strip on. Put the metal cross ribs back in the top and bold the back of the top under the brackets in the trunk there's two on each quarter panel and one long one for the window. When you take the old top off be careful because you may need new frame padding and a new front weather stripping. I took mine off and paid attention how everything came off so long as you reapply the new top from the rail above the rear window you'll be alright. The tops were like 150.00 and man they make a big difference from the moldy white one I had I went with a black one. It should take about 4 to 5 hours to do.

What year car did you do this on? I have a 98 GT Convert that is leaking. I have replaced all the rubber that joins the top to the top of the windows. Still leaks. Next I am gonna get inside the car and have a hose run on the outside to see where the water is coming in. Currently, the water collects behind the back seat, in the vinyl covering. But carpet also getting damp on floor in back. Suggestions are totally appreciated.\
thanks
