Have it mic'd to see if it's within bore specs or if you need to over-bore it. Basically, you'll need all the bearings (cam, rod, main) and piston rings for the appropriate pistons. A gasket kit, timing chain set, and have the crank mic'd/polished or undercut if it's not in spec. Check the rods, replace the rod bolts, and have the rods re-sized if needed. Decide on a camshaft if you're upgrading, choose the appropriate pushods. Check the condition of the lifters, replace if necessary. And as for the pistons, it depends on your camshaft selection.
