Hopefully you guys can help me out. My cousin has a 85 gt 5.0 that hes had since new that my uncle bought him in 85 for a grad present. My uncle then got the car back in the late 90s and loved it and when he died in 2000 my cousin swore he would rebuild it since that was my uncles car he loved. So yeah there is some history.
So he wants to do a 5 lug conversion front/rear.
Is there anywhere I should go for a complete no hassle bolt in kit so I can just install it with some 18 inch cobra wheels and he would be set to go?

you have a couple of options. first, you have to decide what kind of 5-lug conversion you want to do. do you want disc brakes all around or do you just want to be able to use 5-lug wheels? your budget plays a roll too.
options:
1. cheap way, but does not offer any braking improvement is a kit like this: 50resto 5-lug conversion
if you're interested, i have a brand new kit very similar to this that i will sell for a lot less. it's complete everything you need. PM me.
2. 13" cobra brake setup, major improvement over stock braking. here is a complete ford racing kit. i pieced a similar kit like this for myself to save some money, but if you're after a ready to go kit w/o the hassle, this is it. it's not cheap, but worth it if you have the dough. Ford Racing Cobra brake setup
3. list above are all new parts. now if you're not in a hurry to do things, you can save a lot of money by piecing everything together yourself. if you don't mind used parts, contact musttanguy on here. he can get you everything you need. Musttanguy
good luck.
shit, i just realized, is this tony from trailblazerss.com? i'm truckin' over there, but i no longer have my TBSS. [ December 12, 2010, 02:32 PM: Message edited by: stangin' ]

Whatever you do, DONT get a Lincoln Mark 8 rear end. Just use your rear end and get some fox length axles that way you dont get stupid tire wear or rub on the fenders, Id roll those anyways. Good luck.

I think you meant Mark 7. Mark 8's didn't come with live axles.
