my bro's 88 5.0 wont start.... the starter silonoid makes a clicking sound. i replaced the starter thinking it was that but still doing the same. then replaced the silonoid and still the same.. these parts were used ones i had laying around.... i did smell something getting fried.... but couldnt pint point it. it was getting dark... have any of you had the same issue. is there a fusable link....?

Check the battery for draws and check your battery cables wire insulation. They may be grounding out on something.

My fuseable link has fried a few times and the wires are close to the driver's side strut tower.
