will a set of long tube bbk headers fit on a set of gt40p heads?

Yes, but you will need a shorty plug for the #7 and a 90* boot/plug wire for it as well.

What shorty plugs are out there? I bought a couple of Accel 0524 plugs based on everyone saying they're shorter than stock plugs, but they're actually 1/16" - 1/8" longer than Autolite 764's.

Accel plugs are what I've used in the past. I'll look up the part number...

The Autolite 764 is the basic resistor plug and Accel didn't have a cross reference for that plug, but the Autolite Platinum AP104 cross references to 0524/0524S. The 0524 is longer than both the 764 and AP104. If you've got a different number, I'd appreciate knowing what it is. Thanks!
