i got a 4 bang that i change to a 351w and i changed everything but my fuel pump is not turning on when i turn the key its brand new but i think i got something thats not hooked up right cause i checked the pump from the trunk and it cuts on

the fuel pump relay underneath the drivers seat on a 4banger is a dummy, it has no function.
you need to replace it with a real fuel pump relay, either from a v8 donor car, or buy one for a v8 mustang from a parts store.

what do you think my problem is blind... My 88 4cyl conversion as well has a problem, when i turn key on the fuel pump stays on I tried a relay from the junk, about 3 of them but same thing. but i see your saying that relay is a dummy, but when i take it off it wont start [ August 11, 2008, 10:13 PM: Message edited by: Eddie510- ]

i checked the relay and i check the pump from the trunk it works i got two diffrent relays that connect to the harness but its not working and there were both for v8s

i had two computers and i got them mixed up the 92 V8 computer works the other was from a diffrent v8 thanks

the 92's relay is by the MAF on the engine harness.

probably the ECU or the EEC relay, or whoever did the swap bypassed one of those relay's because they couldn't figure it out.
