Just got some more money for my 93 cobra got a c4 on the way and looking for an intake. Anyone have any luck with the spyder intakes, i was gonna run a procharger with it. Anyone with experience with a spyder intake i would greatly appreciate the input. If i dont go with the spyder i might go with a kenne bell, but it seems hard to find a gt40 lower for a 351w.

Thanks,

Steve

What is your engine combo? The Spyder is a pretty serious intake and probably won't work for every engine combo..

385w with victor jr heads stage 1 porting from fox lake, 1971 block, roller conversion cam duration 292/292 lift .518, dished pistons, forged crank, H beam rods, 1.6 roller rockers, and right now it has a victor jr intake on it for a carb, waiting to install tranny so i havent fired it yet. Motor has a couple dyno pulls on it, got it from 66accobra on here. He put down almost 500hp with a bad tune with a t-trim and a bigger cam which he said hurt him. Im looking to do a p1sc with like 10 psi boost. It will be race only. Car is a 93 cobra no power steering no ac, full interior, cage, cervinis cobra hood, c4 with a brake 3:73 gears. If not a spyder intake then maybe a super victor efi, i think there the same but the edelbrock is 200 dollars cheaper when all is said and done.

Alot of people are making good horsepower with Blow through carb setups. You should at least look into it.

N/A I agree but boosted is a whole different subject when dealing with intake's. Sounds like a pretty serious cam, and the stroker is going to pull more air.

i looked into the boosted carb setup, but the fuel injection will probably be the same abount of money to buy everything. Still up in the air about the whole thing, just ordered my tranny so as soon as that all gets put in hopefully I will have made up my mind.

I was talked into going EFI after thinking of a blow through. I can tell you the cost of EFI is much more. I have a accel gen 7 efi system these are well over 1000.00 with a wideband. Big injectors big fuel pump plus other stuff. If I didn't already have all my stuff I would have just sent my carb in and had it done up. JMO

I have no experience with fuel injection, if i got the spyder intake and elbo and rails and injectors, i would have to put a throttle body on there, would I have to still buy some sort of kit like the accell one or could i run a factory computer with a tune? The car still has the 93 cobra computer and all that junk in it. Maybe i will stick with the carb setup i already have the intake, just need a carb and Blower kit.

Check out F.A.S.T's xfi kit it is one of the best, affordable and supposed to be very user friendly. I plan on using several in the future
