sounds like he got some stiff springs, usually you end up that way with lowering springs because of reduced travel, the only way to get the same ride quality is to do a drop spindle with a factory heigth spring.

is it a new stang ??? I was thinking fox?? do they make a shorter strut with full length spring?? dosen't the strut still bolt to a spindle though??regardless of weather or not the spring is mounted on the strut??? jst asking personally I would think people would want a stiffer ride for more aggressive driving. How about an air ride technology strut setup??

he just needs to shocks/struts that are matched to the spring rate, check www.maximummotorsports.com for what they'd recommend.

I've been very happy with my MM specifically revalved bilstein shocks/struts on my `89, and plan to get the same ones for my `97 soon. [ November 13, 2007, 08:56 PM: Message edited by: Blind ]

I run Bilstein HD's on both of my Stangs & IMO they are the way to go....+1 on maximum motorsports knowing their $h!t....I run the Bilsteins with MM coilovers on my Mach & the Bils with H&R SS's on my 95....The MM tech line is very helpful too & the guys over there are great to deal with...they will actually talk to u & give u recomendations even if your not buying anything...U cant say that about many of these other aftermarket companies out there nowadays....

your car rides rougher due to the stock shocks/struts being designed for a taller spring. Most aftermarket shocks/struts will improve your ride quality.

its bouncey cuz your springs are stiffer and your shocks/struts are softer, which means you have a unmatched underdampened suspension. get some adjustables if you have the money if you cant find a nicely matched set.
