thats a good list.... def go with the 4.30s...the cobras like the gear..
also, u need to upgrade the irs...a set of drags will help alot, but when u start making power u need to call MM and order some parts for it...

They only came with 2 1/4 piping stock. The midpipe will help more than the catback right off the bat. I recommend getting a bassant catback down the road though.

Half-shafts aren't the the worry, it's the case. Put a brace on it with solid bushings, you'll be fine. A stock 01 cobra engine, even with minor bolt-ons, won't hurt a shaft that's in good condition.

For starters,I would install a Griggs racing full frame kit and then I would get some Fikse FM 10 wheels and 315/35/17 and 275/4017 Goodyear GSD tires.
For engine mods, I would skip the Hardware store sewer drain pipe JLT kit. Uless you want to turn your car into a gas guzzler and enjoy spinning the motor past 3000RPM while crusing on the freeway, I would not go with 410 or lower gears unless you plan on getting a T56 6 speed trans

4.10's JLT Meizere elec. Pump Royal purple synthetic oil MGW or steeda tri-ax X-pipe 1 piece crank puulley/dampner
I looooove royal purple as after the change my car did rev more freely. Also the meizere pump cools and lets it rev 2. The gears will give u that out of the hole speed and are the best bang for the buck. I'm not sure why 1fast281 is against the pulley tho

solid axle.
the reason alot of people stay away from crank pullies is there is a rumor that it will break you oil pump gears or start giving you crank walk.just make sure you get a balancer not a solid pulley.you can look at mine if you want.mines been on for almost 2 years and my car is fine.
p.s:i got you frpp 4.30's and install sitting in roseville

as far as the IRS goes....bushings? brace? what can i go to atleatst minimize it...
this is my DD...not a track whore. hell.....to even run it at the track faster than a 13.00 i need a 5 point cage.....so... ya.
as far as the 4.30's go....i really dont think i need that much gear.. as i said before. its my daily driver. i think 4.10's or maybe even 3.90's would do the trick.
my car has 3.55's in it...when i drive cars with 3.73's...i can feel it.
now the difference between 3.27's and say 3.90's or 4.10's would be signifigant...i think.
LIKE ASAP... I NEED:
- JLT - OFF ROAD X - LOWERED - SHIFTER
with that and the gearing im looking at. i think the car will be fully capable of cutting a 13.00 with a 2.0 60'
thats just what i feel the car is capable of.... i could be wrong... but hey!

Scott with a 7200 fuel cut off you know as well as me your going to want some tall gears. IMO 4.30s have always been the way to go in the 4v's. I would defiantly just slap a Kenny brown IRS brace, some sub frames, Drags and LCA's and you should hook up just fine. I would after that just save for a blower then be done with it. I honestly wouldn't see putting anything smaller then a 4.10 in when cobra's like to rev ALOT. Congrats on the car. Looks good
