I just got a 92 Notcback and I get a weird noise coming from the rear. It sounds like I'm riding on a flat tire. I have noticed it is much louder when I accelerate. The car doesn't shake or anything. Any ideas on what it could be? Thank you

Rear end might need a rebuild. Mine sounds the same way.

Might be the rear end, or the torque box Either or, get it checked before the car leaves u stranded somewhere.

Ok if it is the rear end and I choose to replace it with something better. What should I go with? I also want to do a 5 lug conversion if that makes a difference on the rear end. I want something strong that can handle a good amount of power with out me worrying about it. Thank you
Oh I see it...how would something like this be?
