OK I think ive found a question that hasnt been asked before. Im running an msd billet distributor with the small cap, not the wide cap like most 5.0s. I have the car at TDC but the cap or distributor does not mark where the #1 wire should go. I am stuck, all of my other distributors Ive used has the #1 etched onto it. How can I find where to line up my rotor, and put my #1 wire?? Help appreciated asap!

Obviously, your dist. rotor is pointing at the number one terminal when the number one piston is at "top dead center"...

Doesn't your rotor only go on one way??

Obviously, if the distributor was just dropped in without checking if it was at frist TDC than no. The motor was put at top dead center witout the distributor even in place. We got the distributor later once the motor was in the car. Im starting from scratch, it doesnt just drop into place. Thats where I am stuck. Otherwise it would be easy. [Confused] [Confused]
