i go to start my stang today after i found a short on a ground wire from my negative post on the battery to a chassis ground.
i fix the wire and go to start it and all i get is the motor cranks but doesnt fire.i thought my optima battery would be low because it was reading 10 or 11 volts on the gauge.
so i put in a fully charged battery and still get only cranks. i hear the fuel pump prime when key is turned over. could the ignition coil be bad or the module ?
i am going to buy a new coil tomorrow and go from there hopefully.

Get a spark tester and that should tell you if you are getting spark or not.
