i don't know aobut the spark plug. but you are supposed to go to colder plugs and reduce the gap.
I plan on running a step colder plug with a 34 gap (54 stock)
good luck.
you might want to retard your timing and run higher octane depending on the size of the shot.

the fuel system you have is perfect...run a 3923..like you did...with a 34/35 gap....if you run 100 shot or 125...back timing off 4 degrees...if its a dry kit you might want to run better octane but if its wet..you have aluminum heads and with enough timing backed off..you shouldnt have a problem

when it's hot knock it down 4* for 75-100 if it's cool out just 2*

stock plugs are fine, gap them about .040"

your fuel system is enuff to support about 400-450 hp.

I set my timing at 0 deg with 125 shot, 91 octane and 255lph. Stock 19 lb. injectors with 24 spark plugs or was it 23's I don't remember anymore. Car seemed to like it. I've yet to try it with my new intake, car is under the knife right now. [burnout]

hey jdub, next timne you go to the track, try slowly bumping your timing on the 125...like 2* per run.

i know your trying to be safe, but i bet you could pick up a couple tenths by getting up to about 6* on the 125.

just remember, if it runs great in 70* at 6* don't try the same thing at 95*

my test time in my old notch came from forgetting to knock timing out.

i ran a 75 shot @ 12 or 14* apparently didn't run too too lean, it was my best time ever for that car.

also you could go +1 on the fuel/vac jet or a -1 on the nitrous jet.

just to tweak a little and keep it safer w/ou losing too much timing.

what kinda numbers did you end up w/????

after i moved i haven't been on this site much.

I actually got a slower track time but faster trap speed.

Before my zex kit my best was 13.9 @ 100
After my zex kit 125 shot I ran 14.0 @ 106 (I'll edit this, it was really 105.8 mph but 106 just looks so good [Big Grin] )

As much as people blame that they couldn't hook up at the track, well thats what happend. I have very bald street tires...wasted a day at the track really. Tried to learn from it but the only thing I took from that day was 'get better tires and learn to launch on them'.

ok, 2 things i gurantee.

1.your @ss needs to get some mickey's
2. that timing w/ 125 jets was killing you.
your trap speed should have(could have)been about 110-112. probably the 112 cuz, w/ limited traction your trap speeds go up where they shouldn't be.

anyway, w/ the 125's i think you should run 12.50@110

depends on your 60' from the 13.90 run too....expect to cut 1.25-1.50 seconds off your old ET NA

Really!? Thats encouraging!!! So what should I have my timing at when useing the 125? I just don't want detination. Car has been pretty good to me thus far. With the zex kit at 125 I'm about as far as I can go with my 19lb. injectors so if the car is in the 12's 'as is' that would be sweet.

Thanks for the advice...Even some cheap slicks would be better than what is on there now.
