It won't last more than a day or two, but a ultra thin coat of WD40 or any other light oil will instantly gloss up dull headlights. Once they dull there is nothing you can really do but replace it. They'll never be the same after they dull.

Chrome Polish works real good and after that use 3M Clear Plastic Polisher with a buffer and your lights will look real nice.

Hey you should try and buy some chrome polish and polish them like everyone else mentioned, but dont try and return the polish, complain that it wasn't what you expected "because you changed your mind" and ask your brother to threaten the clerk lol. Just like what you tried doing with the racing seats i sold you.

Novus Plexiglass Scratch Remover: this basically made my lights clear up but only lasted for like a few weeks...and chrome polished work so give that a try...it looks like everyone one else has had sucess with that as well....yet its probably better to just replace the whole thing...

mother's mag polish (or something like that) and a nice buffer cleans them real nicely. although i've heard some success stories by wet sanding them.
