i have an 87 mustang 5.0 and this is my third one. it seems that gauges is a common problem since i had this problem on all of my cars. My fuel gauge goes up and down every time i turn on the car and is never even around the same place. My speedo gauge works but is very inacurate, it says im doin 85 when im really doing 50, can somebody tell me how to fix this?

Do you have gears in your car or change tire sizes? Either of these things could throw off your spedo.

The fuel gauge problem could be a bad sending unit in your gas tank.

The person installing the gears should be able to tell you which one you need.

This page will tell you what gear you need for the speedo................

Also, a common problem on Fox fuel gauges is a bad anti-slosh module..............
