the CEL has been coming on while driving on since i got the car a week and a half ago, i bought an actron scanner at autozone today, the codes i get are in this sequence ( these codes came from the key on engine off test with the car warmed up like the book said to do)

32
32
1 ( spacer code)
14
32
96

the book says 32 is "EGR valve position sensor or pressure feedback EGR sensor- signal voltage is below closed limit or has gone beyond set limits OR problems with egr valve controlling" i dotn get this, its not the actual egr valve is it?

code 14 is " the electronic control assembly has detected an intermittent loss of profile ignition pickup signal in recent operation"

code 96 is " thermactor air system problem- right ( passenger) side air flow will not bypass OR fuel pump circuit failure OR high speed fuel pump relay circuit failure

basically i dont know what any of this stuff is, why did it repaeat 32 twice then throw it again in the sequence? i do know that the cel comes on and off when driving but not when idling which would make me think that in regards to code 96 the fuel pump circuit or high speed relay could possibly be at fault? any help on what to replace or fix would be appreciated, thanks

how is the car running?

is it a 5sp or auto?

I get 32 and 96 all day everyday and have yet to figure out why. I've tried so many things.

My car stutters on the freeway at cruising speed or after a 100+ mph run will die when I come to a stop and smells rich.

What sympotms is your car having?

fixed it!!, 32 is the sensor that the egr plugs into, if you get a new one i bet your car will run better, i cleared my codes after i fixed the egr ( i replaced the whole thing, egr and plug) and none came back, it just passed smog with better numbers too.

Code 14 is odd. It could be a failing TFI module or bad cap & rotor.
Code 96 is a phantom code. Ignore it
Code 32 can be also caused by a dirty EGR valve. Take it off and clean it with carb cleaner then use some axel grease on the diaphrams shaft to keep things moving freely.

Bring It . . .
