Hey guys, I got a few nitrous questions... I have a 00 Lightning with a few of the basic mods, 6lb pulley, cai, cat back, 160 thermo, and predator tuned. I have somehow been able to pull 400/500 and a 12.9 1/4 all on the stock plugs. I just bought a nitrous kit and have a few questions.
1. Since I am running 6lbs over stock and another 50 from this wet kit, should I go 1 or 2 steps colder on the plugs?
2. I just bought a basic zex nitrous kit. What else do I need (other than a good tune) to have a safe and complete kit? Do I have to have the bottle heater, pressure gauge, etc???
3. Since I am mounting it in the bed, do I need any sort of safety device such as blowdown tube?
4. Any other good nitrous info would be great, thanks!!!!

you dont need a blow down tube since its in the bed and not in the cab by you, a bottle heater to keep the pressure up, remember to have a gauge so you know where the nitrous pressure is at.

make sure u have a window switch cause u don't want any explotion before the 3k rpm, blottle heather is the best mod for the nitrous, 1 step colder plugs should be good enough, gauge is good to have cause u don't want to spray on high pressure.

Why pretent someone u are not, everyone else could see it.

1) one heat range colder on the plugs...
2) MSD p/n 8969...Digital Window Switch...the best bet for your money...
3) you're definitely going to need a re-tune on the bottle.....don't hit it unless you're retuned
4) for safety..on the bottle....try and run some type of trick fuel or trick/pump mix....always nice to be safe...
5) normal other stuf is bottle heater and guage....try the edelbrokc bottle heater...it has a good auto switch to turn the bottle off so you don't have to worry about the bottle getting too hot....
6) if you have the zex kit which runs on TPS voltage....use a WOT switch instead....it works better with the Digital Window.....

hope this helps

Just get a NX kit with GenX-2 upgrade call it good, comes with everything you need!

What kit did you go with anyways?
