Good question [Big Grin] The cats are going to have quite a bit more restriction.

I would say maybe 5-10hp or so [Confused]

When I swaped my off road x-pipe for a stock 4-cat setup it choked my car pretty bad. Not an apples to apples comparison though.

imho the gains are not worth the risk in getting busted for an off road exhaust. youll probably lose some bottom end but gain some on the top end. go with high flow cats and you'll be happy.

I'd say the off road H will have the advantage, but not by much...You'll see huge gains when you compare the "stock" H pipe to an off road pipe, but when you compare 2x2.5" hi flo pipes on a stock 5.0 it's close(I'd say within 5hp)...

Like venomous said, it's safer with cats...

i got an h pipe with high flow cats on my 50 and it sounds good and feels a lot better over the stock one, performace wise there almost no different from an offroad, also with a catted h/x pipe u don't have to worry about cops cause on my oo gt i have an off road x pipe and is to fuc*** loud and i have been pulled over two times for the exhaust but so far no ticket. I been lucky [dance] [dance]

I took off my off road H and put on a catted X recently. The car did quiet down quite a bit but picked up a lot of torque and just runs better all around. So I guess that I lost some bark and picked up some bite...... [Big Grin]
