My friends car has been missing for hte past couple days, and I took a look at it today...it had a foul plug(#7), so I replaced all the plugs...ran better but still missed. Next I took the plug wires off my car, didnt help at all. Ran a cylinder balance test, got only a couple somg codes, and then its saying #7 and #8 cylinders are weak. I am going to adjust the rockers first, but if that doesnt fix it, could it be a bad injector? If so, how do I test it?
Thanks

you can swap in to known good injectors, only other way to really test them is send them out.

Well, I adjusted the rockers and its still the same thing. Also, all the spark plugs had a litte rust on them Never seen that before, I was thinking it was maybe a head gasket problem? Any other ideas?

My friend who owns the car just remembered that it backfired a couple times earlier this week, a couple days befroe it started to miss...
I also noticed, that when he turns the key off, there exhaust makes a hissing sound for a second...

im sure you can ohm check the injectors. not sure what the exact specs are but you can sure check the resistance o w/a multimeter and compare with all others. they should all be within the same range. or simply remove the fuel rail w/injectors inplace and turn the key on and watch how 'em spray, but even then this still wont be accurate as to how good each injectors are.

I don't think I'd want high pressure fuel around me with an open ignition.

I think its a blown head gasket. I posted the question on Corral and got a few people saying either head gasket or intake gasket judging by the rusty plugs.
