does anyone run kirkey seats in a street driven car? I got my summit catalog and a set of seats for around $320 is a good deal in my book. I was looking at the one with the leg support and wondered if their thin design would make for shitty comfort. I know a couple guys use them in road racing, but was still curious if anyone on here used em.

Well for everyday daily driving you may or may not like them. Not alot of padding. Plus don't be suprised if you need to have custom seat brackets fabricated. They don't just bolt in.

They look uncomforatable as shit. Its just an aluminum frame, and then you have to buy a cover for it. But i dont actually have them so i dont know first hand.

Well when in them, they support the hell out of you, but, there isn't alot of cushion. You need to get at least the intermediate seats to get a little leg cushion.

We just installed one of these in our 03 cobra, and are putting one in mine in a few weeks.

ya i planned on a set of the intermediate seats with the cloth padding. I awnt it to be snug, but not so tite that it makes street driving impossible. Looks like it migh tbe sparcos after all.

I've heard from somebody who has them that after 30 minutes they start to hurt and be uncomfortable.
I also think they look ugly as hell in anything thats not a drag car.
Definately go with the Sparcos, that's what I want too.....

I've got one of these in my race car as well. Great seat! They can also custom make them to any size and do it cheap compared to kirkey's prices. Another bonus is they are local and quick.
