I just threw some single chambers on a stock 02 AUTOMATIC set-up and very pleased with the sound.

1 chambers sound cool with the stock mid pipe. I had a set on my 04 before the Bassani's .

Depending on what kind of sound he prefers(i.e.deep,throaty,raspy)

I had 2 ch flows on my 02 GT and it was a bit quiet for me so i put a MAC Prochamber on and it sounded great...nice and deep.

1 ch flows would probably sound good if he sticks with the stick mid-pipe...but might be very loud if he goes off-road

He can try SLP...they tend to sound more raspy and loud even w/o a mid-pipe
