What if I just take off my tail pipes from the mufflers back? What will the do? Good / Bad? Will turn downs be nessesary and if so why? Does the exiting exhaust get so hot it needs turn downs or does it matter? Will there be any kind of performance loss? what about sound?

Dynomax are on there right now.

I think the turndowns are mostly for directing the fumes downward. If you run turndowns, it'll be louder for sure. Uhm... I don't think there'll be a huge difference in performance. I think turndowns give the car a deeper sound, where as tailpipes make it more raspy. I guess it all depends on personal preference. I'm running turndowns, but I was just too cheap to buy the catback.

Just hack it off. If you don't like it, take it to a muffler shop and have them weld it back up for like $40. Or maybe try and put a flange on it so you can run tailpipes when you want or straight out the muffler when you want.

Fast, Cheap or Reliable. Pick two and live with it.

they'll bend them or what? sucks cause I can't go 50mph on the circle on ramps...smells like I'm doing a burnout. Can't hear it though and you can't see an markings on the tires front or back but if you look at the pipes they have black marks on them and are so close to the tire you'd be lucky to fit the thickness of two car keys in there. Garanteed did it once but it always seem to go back after a while. Do they manderal bend it or you think they just hand push bend it?

I'm not sure what they'll do. They ended up cutting my mufflers off then re-adjusting them because they were to low, This was when I got my tail pipes.

Tellem what you got, and if they did your tail pipes originally, they should fix it.
