it was the msd ( i guess it's bad because i bypassed the conections to the blaster coil, and it fired right up). i dont know if it is bad though, does anyone know how to check to see if it is done.??? and why does my car run like crap now... it ran hard before i put the msd, and while i had it in (but did notice that it would have times where it would run good and then poorly at random times.) but it is ridiculous how bad it runs now, i could hardly keep up with traffic.... i know i didnt give much info.. but that is all i've done.

Well, if you bypassed the MSD and now you're cars runs, I think it's safe to say you need a new MSD....Make sure it wasn't just a bad connection first before you go spending hard earned money on a new MSD...

Mess with your timming a little and see if that helps...Find out what your timming is now to see where you're at...10 degrees is stock, but most 5.0's like 14 degrees with some 91oct..

thanks, i forgot to post, but i found the problem...i read somewhere that efi cars can get flooded so i lowered the fuel psi to about 35 to make sure it wasn't flooded... after i disconected the msd and the car fired up...i forgot to set the psi back, and that is why it was running like shit....

i have the psi at 45 and it runs real strong, but i feel like that is too high what do you guys think, and what could be some problems that can happen if the psi is too high. ps. no smoke out the back with the 45psi
