replaced a clutch in my 1990 stang and all went well so i thought started it up when we were all done and no it has quite a large vibration from about 1100 to 1500 rpm and you can notice it a little wen you drive ...feels kinda like a harmonic balancer gone bad but its not...any ideas? my guess is i screwed something up but i dont know what or how i could have....thought maybe an 02 sensor but i dont know
also it didnt do it before the clutch was installed

Does the vibrtion change at all with the clutch depressed or not depressed? Did you change your flywheel? Maybe you got the wrong balance flywheel on there

Check with the place you got the flywheel from. Make certain it was for your year car and that it is the correct balance. If it is the wrong balance flywheel it will feel much like a car with a bad harmonic balancer. Have them compare your old one to one they gave you and see if the part #'s match up if it is still at the store or machine shop.

When you guys installed the pressure plate were all the bolts torqued down in a criss cross manner? Did the pressure plate seat on the dowels ok? Is the exhaust clear of the body in all areas? Did the driveshaft appear to be in good shape? U-joints look alright?

It's hard to say really if driving on it's alright. A vibration isn't something I would personally want to drive with. Who knows what its from and what further damage may occur. It's better to figure it out before you drive too much.
