Looking for opinions...from everything I've found, they're close to the same. Any comments?

my tri ax is the shit i like it alot. i have it on a t5 in a fox. my frinend has a pro 5.0 in his 96 and hes broke trannys and it likes to miss gears ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif)

Have you thought about the B&M pro ripper. thats what i run in my car, its built very good with smooth positive shifts. also you can adjust the lever in two places. Worth the money

The Tri-Ax also has 2 height adjustments and it's almost impossable to miss a gear. It's what I have in my Cobra and will also be putting in the GT.

As you see from the sig, I have one in my ride and love it. I haven't missed a gear yet. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)
I drove a guys car here and he has the PRO 5.0 and I agree that they are very similar.

I've had a Pro-5.0 on each of the two Mustang's that I've owned and a Pro-5.0 will be on my next Mustang...
The Steeda Tri-Ax is a great shifter and I like the fact that you don't have to trim the rubber shift boot on the install...The handle is a little longer and that makes it easier to shift over the Pro-5.0, but the Pro-5.0 has a shorter throw(I believe)...Steeda shift handles, unless they fixed it, are made of aluminum and brake very often...I've never heard of one single person braking their Pro-5.0...
I'd only recommend a Tri-Ax or Pro-5.0...I've had other shifters, like the B&M and they suck compared to the Pro-5.0...I think it's more personal preference to which one you like the best...

i've used both, currently the pro 5.0 and both are great shifters. you can't miss a gear with either shifter. the steeda does have a longer handle compared the the pro 5.0. the pro 5.0 does feel a little notchier. i like both equally. if i had to decide, i would just get which ever i could find cheaper. you can't go wrong.

i have a brand new pro 5.0 shifter...i will sell it to you for $100...i had hci originally install a tremec tko and i got the shifter for that, but then decided to go with a t56 and went with a triax shifter for that..anyway, the part is brand new and never used...let me know...

I had that same question when I was deciding what to get.... and I went with the Steeda Tri-Ax... it's strong, sturdy, and shifts great. I never miss a gear when racing... only when I'm being lazy and letting the clutch out too soon....ha wutever.... GO with the Tri-Ax.... Good Luck
