i'm really interested in buying this 91 mustang with a crate engine...but i dont know what 2 expect...what should i look for..i know its a new engine but will it cause any problems..i mean it needs a new fuel pump he says..so what coulda caused that to mees up this is going to be my 2nd mustang i dont want to make a mistake by buying something that has been put together wrong or dosent look right..it already happed before with an 89 that i lost 200 bucks on..any suggestions???i'm most definatly going to have my mechanic check it out but i need some pointers for when i look at it myself..i'm putting a down payment on it and it depends on how it looks and sounds...

First does he have a receipt that shows he bought a crate motor?...

Second, A fuel pump goin bad on a 91 or older Stang isn't that unusual...Fuel pumps are easy to fix, just make sure that is the only problem...YOu could take a fuel pressure gauge with you and turn the key and see what fuel pressure it's getting before you buy it...
