Thinking of getting a 347 stroker with an X cam... I will be running a cobra intake and stock injectors with stock heads with a port job.
Does anyone know if this combo will pass smog? If not what cam would i need to swap to?
Also it will eventually see a set of AFR 185 or 165 heads.... will this pass smog?
Any coments would be great!

Well in my Ford catalog the X303 has a "*" next to it-------------
-------I go to the bottom of the page and read what the "*" means...~"*Not legal for sale or use on pollution -controlled motor vehicles"....lol
It's interesting to see that the only cam that does not have a * next to it is the E303...

Talk to 93Pony, he can get this combo to pass smog for sure. Why does this sound like a screwed up combo? It's a damn strong combo especially when he switches to the AFR heads. People with this same combo on a stock 302 are hitting high 11's at that track. This combo on a 347 will put him nicely into the 11's. Go for it man

x-cam is technically not smog legal, but the smog guys can't see inside your engine.........I have seen plenty of 5.0's smog with that cam, it's actually very mild. My car passes smog and the specs are wild compared to the x>>>232/244 w/114 centers!! If you have good cats(i used a magnaflow x with converters), it will pass, as long as you have all smog equip. in good working order. Ask the guys at central coast mustang, they run those cams all day in their own cars and customer cars and have no problems!
