Author Topic: balancer prob.????? stoauto ¯ Member # 2803 posted                              first off my car is a 89 5.0 with a new motor.... my problem is my balancer or my crank pully is shaking back and forth, i dont know if the crank pully is not round or if i need to replace my already BRAND NEW STOCK REPLACEMENT BALANCER (which is torqued to spec.), or what, i've never had this problem before, i stared hard at my balancer when the car was on but its hard to determine which is causing the side to side movement, its not going forward and back. the whole motor DOES NOT shake at all just the pully/balancer. the motor runs very smooth, despite this problem. thanks guys. -Evan Posts: 1054 | Registered: May 2003  |  : mtbaughs Road Racer Member # 4052 posted                              Take the belt and the pulley off and fire it up. that should tell ya. Also look for signs of seperation in the balancer when it's off -------------------- R.I.P.
