Eventually im gonna be looking to get a short block and looking for some options. my combo as of now- tfs high ports, f-cam, tfs intake, all the bolt on stuff, plus im about to be adding a sq trim with in the next month or so. what would be a good short block for this combo? not too expensive. should i buy an r block and buy a 331 stroker kit? i've been looking at the super pro bullet short blocks from dss. just looking for some info. thanx.

I like Keith Craft the best. If you can afford it go to a 331 built like a brick shit house. At the minimum run a sportsman block.

i went from a 302 based motor to a 351 based stroker. it was the best upgrade ive ever made. i dont know if thats in your budget, but a blown 351 would be awesome.

this is true and for about the same money any block of the same brand just 351 will be able to handle a bit more power. My vote has always been and always will be the Dart block. The way I look at is if you're going to spend the money do all right the first time and go all out to make sure you don't end up spending a shit loud in the future
