My car can't stay between 1000-2000 RPM. when in first and second and trying to keep my car going at a speed with my RPM's at 1000-2000 it will shoot up a little over 2000 RPM's and come down over and over unless i step on it getting it above 2000 RPMs. can't pass smog because of this.

take the positive lead and connct it to the green wire. just make a little pin hole. and put the ground to a ground. the alternator works good. put the meter on the 20 volt setting if it has that..95-.98
