What does the fox weigh? my car weighed in at 2610...now im gonna have the v8, bigger rear end, bigger sway bars, heavier leafs, so im hoping to stay under 2900...if im not mistaken, the foxes are around 3500? so a few extra horse-ponies, and about 600 pounds off the car...

its rated at 225, but the most ive ever heard of a stock fox putting to the wheel was like 190 rwhp. now you tack on the miles, assuming only a small percentage of that 125k miles was beat into it, id say you'd be lucky if you made 225 to the wheel.

lontubes will give u a little bit more power up top but are gonna take away from the torque of the other wise stock motor, the torque of the stock motor is what moves u, not the less than desirable shitty topend
the stock intake has a way to long of a runner i would suggest maybe spending about 1k on bolt ons to improve flow, like an intake, bigger tb, egr, bigger maf, etc, just so the exhaust doesnt overpower the intake

This is more or less a temporary motor...i picked up the longblock for 400 including computer, wiring, injection, ignition, and shit like the pedal and intake tube and all. im pretty certain long tubes are better for torque, and shorties get the exhaust thru teh colleter and into the pipes faster for high reving high hp motors...
ive been more concerned with suspension and transmission, so teh 200 at the wheels will be fully usable and plenty fun for a while- then ill just go straight to a badass motor.
