Are you runing any open element breathers on the valve covers? Did you disconnect the line running from the oil fill to the TB?

You must make SURE you have NO boost entering the crankcase. Either through the PCV, or through the TB to VC hose like Jeff stated.
You'll want to run at least 2 one-way check-valves. One in line to the PCV & one to the vacuum tree. This along with not running a line from the TB to Valve cover should take care of boosting things that should not be boosted.

from what Shaun has told me before they are not the easiest things to get a hold of. I think you can go to the junk yard and grab them off of brake boosters, or just wait for shaun to post again and he will tell you.

well personally I am gona run a hose right off the PCV valve opening into an overflow tank that is filtered. If I remember right JeffS just ran a hose off the back out to the open. I am sure there are a hundred million different ways. 93pony has a little set-up that puts a vacum pressure in the crank case using one-way valves.

I removed the hose that goes from the throttle body to the valve cover. Then put a cap on the throttle body and valve cover and have a breather. With 10lbs from my Novi 2000, I haven't had any problems. Before I removed that line, I could shoot the PCV valve out of the lower with maybe 5lbs of boost.
Try those one way check valves. [ January 18, 2004, 05:58 PM: Message edited by: Blu50Stang ]

Stock mustang pcv valves don't seal out the boost. You need to get a Turbo coupe PCV Valve Part# E5ZZ-6A666-A. Run the motorsports EFI breather and plug the vent line at the TB and oil fill. Thats what I did, I was having the same problem as you when I first installed my Vortech a month ago.

That is correct. He IS bringing in un-metered air with that setup. Either go breathers & plug the PCV, or run the stock PCV setups & NO breathers. Otherwise, you'll suck in un-metered air through the breather....& most likely some oil with it.

I guess there might be a slight bit of un metered air at idle and cruise but not enough to cause a problem or even worry about. My car idles and cruises great. E-cam no surges at idle or cruise. No unmetered air at Boost(which I really care about) This is how alot of supercharged car's are set up. The best part about this set up is no oil blowing out the dipstick tube any more. You need to be able to vent under boost and the stock system isn't big enough. You won't suck in any extra oil either because you are pulling in fresh air from the breather when you are not under boost and venting any extra crankcase pressure out the filter when you are boosting(which is when your oil is being pushed out at) As for the unmetered air all you are pulling in is what the pcv valve is pulling in which isn't very much BTW the stock PCV valve doesn't seal under boost so what ever boost you have you are pumping into the crankcase. The turbo coupe PCV valve does seal off underboost so it acts as a one way(check)valve. I re-read your post again did say you had nothing were your PCV valve is supposed to be? I wouldn't drive it anymore until you get that found and fixed [ January 21, 2004, 10:27 AM: Message edited by: 2stangs69-91 ]
