Good day all.
I don't own a mustang I have a slue of imports (mr2 and a new STI on the way) Anyway My girlfriend has a 2000 V6 Mustang and I have shown her the light.
I'm not really into drag racing I am a born autoXer and road racer. I've done a handful of HDPE's and plenty of AutoXes. After a while my girl wanted to "learn to turn"
Her car is stock, But I talked her into getting atleast some good tires and wheels. So we ordered her some cobra R rep's and 245/45 Falken Azenas (super sticky)
I want to AX some of her body roll and get the car a bit stiffer and more responsive as she plans on getting into AutoX.
Is there some good OEM parts I can throw onto her V6? This way she can keep a decent ride and get the parts for pretty cheap. The car really needs a drop in height, it looks terrible with the big rims.
I was thinking some Mach 1 Springs and shocks with the Mach 1 Sway bars (front and rear) Any other advice on what OE parts I could use that will show a good performance gain?
I could go with some Steeda bars/eibach springs and sway bars too but that would be a little pricey. Any help would be great. Thanks guys.

Check out the http://www.maximummotorsports.com/ package. With suspension, you don't want to mix and match parts, since they all have to interact together.
I did a budget upgrade to my suspension.... poly bushings in my lower control arms, poly sway bar bushings and sub frame connectors. I believe if I autocross, this will put me in the "modified" catagory though. Something you may want to consider for your girlfriend. If you stick in V8 springs on a V6, you may notice the nose of the car rising because of the lighter V6 motor. Not at all visually appealing.

falken azenas ...
Definitley start with some subframes, I wouldn't put too much money into a v6, but that's just me.

Well I know what you mean about not putting money into a V6 but hey thats why we chose to only do suspension mods.
It has enough TQ to get itself out of of the turns so that enough for her.
Thanks for the help so far guys.
Pat!! good talking to you homie, I ll talk again with ya soon.

the mach1 suspension is a good cheap way to make the car handle better, i would skip the front sway bay and just get a GT rear

You need to decide what class you will in for AX. That will determine what you will do to the car. As long as you are running the Falken's you can stay in STX to a poit.. (I think it is STX or something like that.) Just be careful. One part can throw you into Modified.. That would not even be fun..

How about Ford FMS "C springs" with some struts of your choice and a GT rear sway bar?...
