ok, I start The car,than after i take out the clutch, it over revs at around 2500 rpms!!!WHY is that??Than if you put the clutch in, it idels NOrmal??what the hell is that???i asked ford and they said they diddnt know??it a 90gt, (when i put the tranny in i diddnt use the reinlinement tool [Frown] could that be a problem??it gets into gears fine but it Whines like a superCharger??when i had this t5 in my other stang it never did that wining noise???Thanks eddie [patriot]

The alignment tool is only needed to help align the splines on the trany to mate with the clutch plate splines...

Did you add enough trans fluid?...You know your supposed to use AutoTransFluid, right?..

Is your vehicle speed sensor hooked up?...its the sensor on the top of the trany...

If that is all good, I would try running the codes with a code scanner...

ummm,when i installed the tranny i dumped the old tranny fluid and put some new, but kragen told me to use 80-90 gear oil so i put that, but than i dumped it out and put atf Fluid? did i mess the tranny up by putting that gear oil???

my speed sensor is not hooked up cuase i broke but i put the peace of the speedsensor into the tranny but i diddnt tightn it all the way cuz it wont let me [Frown]

It would've been smart to flush out the old 70w90 with ATF...as long as you have enough ATF you should be fine...Take out the check fill plug on the top passenger side of the trany and let any extra fluid drain out...Make sure that the fluid level atleast comes up to the bottom of the check fill plug hole...

The computer needs input from the vehicle speed sensor...You might wanna fix that first!... [patriot]

You could buy a code scanner, but it would be pointless if you already know that the VSS is broken...
