Often times when the you fire up the car it surges until you give it gas to even out and sometimes will stall when put into reverse. The car is under warranty, but it doesn't happen always. All it has is a KNN and flows.

The previous owner swapped to a different plug (non ford). Can this cause it? Only 25k miles.

Ideas [Confused]

Thanks 87. I think my friend put in NGK's, but am not sure at all.

Should I just put new stockers back in?

I have this problem with my 5.0, Its your MAF when you reoil your K&N if you put too much on it, it'll get sucked back and get on the MAF wire and then the computer has trouble finding the right rpm to run at. Clean your MAF wire with some disstilled alcohol it fixed my problem before i just been to lazy to fix it again
