Okay. What is this wire. I decided to do a piece meal tuneup today and I forgot how much of a pain it was to change the plugs on the passenge side with all the supercharging hosing and what not. As soon as I got the lats plug in, I notice this wire...never seen it before and I did not disconnect it so I am thinking that is had been disconnected already. Not sure what it is. Do you guys have any idea where this grey/black wire is supposed to hook up to? The other end of the hose it connects to a gold colored metal diaphram looking thing...check out the pics. Hopefully this works.

Ok is it a wire or a vacuum line?...Looks more like a vacuum line to me....I believe its the vacuum line that comes off your smog pump diverter valve("gold colored metal diaphram looking thing")....All I know is that vacuum line leads to the passenger side fender on my '94 and heads toward the front of the car...I think it might go to the charcoal canister...If you already have no inner fender liner, you should be able to see a hard plastic line that it might connect to..

Good luck, I hope I could help.. [patriot]

Yup...it is a vacuum hose or a hose at least as compared to being a wire. I am usually pretty meticulous when I work on my car so when I saw this hose just hanging there...I was like WTH?? [Eek!]

Thanks for the response..I am going to check it out today during lunch.

Anyone else want to take a guess on what this might be? Actually does anyone have a sn95 handy with a picture of this tube on their car????

I'm starting to think that this is a vacuum line off of the bypass kit, but I could be wrong as it is suppose to go to the fmu tee or something..

Thanks for all your help people...

Okay. I think I narrowed it down. According to the research the golden valve thing that this vacuum hose comes out of is the air bypass valve (AIRB).

Does anyone know where the tube that connects to the AIRB valve go to?????

Comes out of the smogpump, through AIRB valve (with vacuum line), to 2 metal tubes, one to pump fresh air into the exaust, the other to the back of the heads.

Anyone here have a 94 or 95 mustang/cobra in the Fremont area that I can take a 5-6 minute look at for reference on figuring out where this hose is?

This is bugging me...can't work...car is on my mind [Wink]

I think I will post this on another message [Big Grin]
