89 lx 5.0
if you have nos can you also have a chip? For whatever reason I thought that you couldn't. If so what is a good chip for an 89 lx 5.0 with zex kit and other bolt on mods?
Thanks.

i'm sure you could and maybe would want a flip chip so you can run a n/a tune and a nos tune when you want...or just manually retard the timing a few degrees...it's cheaper hope this helps a little...

I'd go with a flip chip for sure.

I'd rotate the distributor and use a timing light for sure.

I agree, for a Zex 75 shot, I'd verify the air fuel ratio is in a safe range and then run ~9 degrees initial on 91 octane..... this is of course after ditching the stock fuel pump.

I agree with shade...Chip would be ultimately better and safer, but not nessesary...
If you're gonna go with a chip, get a custom one burnt on the dyno....

Its necessary if you want maximum power and reliability 100 percent of the time. Sure you can knock some timing out, but that hurts the cars NA performance.

Why cant you just simply return the timming back after you ran with nitrous?....
Its easy with a MSD Timming adjuster...Just a simple turn of a knob mounted inside the car...
