I busted my @ss all week, and today..it runs. Just to get everyone up to speed... Blown headgasket on the Cobra...I, of course, cannot just "replace the gasket and be happy". So, on go ported 2.02 RPM's. I wasn't happy with the shortblock, so it's all new too. Then I pick up a Performer intake, instead of the Cobra...and proceed to port the be-jeezus out of it. I can't just "port-match" anything. Two days later, I'm FINALLY happy with it...so on it goes. 1 MILLION trips to the parts store later (it's an original 77k mile car, everything was stock..and junk..) I'm done. I thrashed until almost midnight last night, started up and finished about 10 today. I am beat. This is the 3rd car I've done an engine build on in a month. BUT...it runs...and excellent!! I have some tuning to do, possibly a new MAF and TB (still stock Cobra items) and a dyno run. I am curious what this will put out... But tomorrow..an easy day..just a 5 lug conversion, spring change and spindle swap-out on my 86.

Hey now! I'll be there on the 27th... but with the Lightning. The Cobra goes in for paint AGAIN here soon.
Seems like I've been working on everyones car but mine. That's the way it goes though.
