Author Topic: 3.8 to 302 or 351 conversion 3xKrazy New Member Member # 3249 posted                              I was wondering what ur guys thoughts would be on me converting my 3.8L v6 to a 302 or 351. I would rather do the 351, and i know this would be very involved, including a completly new trans. I want to know if this is just a stupid idea or what?...also sugestions on an alternative would be very helpful too me! About the price of the swap! Not including much of the work involved. It can be done, and you don't need a new tranny (possibly a new bellhousing, depending on what you have and what combo you go with) but yea, unless you have a lot of $$ sunk into your 6 already, just sell it and buy a GT or Cobra. My mom still lives in WA so Im trying to talk her into letting me register my 95 in her name.
